Biden's Polling Firm Declares A Win Over COVID & Says It's Time To Move On
See the full memo here
On 2/24/22 Biden’s polling firm named Impact Research announced the administration had won the ‘war’ against COVID-19. In an open memo, they specifically credited the administration’s stringent vaccine and mask mandates, travel bans, and tailored public health policies, as reasons the US could now exit the emergency phase of the pandemic. Below, 5 key point from the memo will be debunked (a copy of the 2 page memo will be located at the very end of this publication).
Key Point # 1
Returning to normalcy was well overdue for a couple of reasons. To be specific, months of data regarding Omicron and the tail end of Delta showed a long trend of substantially reduced death and morality, plus evidence of endemicity.
Let’s start here. Mortality and hospitalizations have been decoupled from COVID-19 infection for quite some time now, especially with Omicron. Specifically, the end of Delta wave, and most certainly all of Omicron revealed evidence of reduced viral lethality. That means, people have been less likely to die or be hospitalized by COVID for eons now. How much less likely? According to Kaiser Permamente data, the risk of hospitalization, and death with Omicron compared to Delta reduced by 53%, and 91% respectively. Moreover, the tail end of Delta showed a similar trend in hospitalizations and death because of both natural and vaccinal immunity. Considering the proof, it’s not all of a sudden safe to get back to normal, it has been for a while. On the whole, the delay from public health officials, and the Biden administration to relax COVID policies only prolonged suffering without providing a net-benefit.
Second, it’s been known for quite some time that SARS-CoV-2 has animal reservoirs which makes it impossible to eradicate. Knowing that, and seeing the evidence of reduced virulence, a plan to normalcy should have been implemented a long time ago as the virus can hop between animals and humans thus perpetuating a seasonal cold for ages to come.
Key Point # 2
Our children have suffered the worst. Not only are they worn out, their mental health has declined, and cognitive growth has been damaged. Was that not enough to reconsider such stringent COVID protocols after nearly 2 years?
I suppose the increase of mental health issues, and cognitive decline in children hastened by the laptop class from non-scientific masking, isolation, and school closure policies weren’t enough to tip the scale for change. Maybe kids needed to suffer longer so more evidence could be collected to drive new public health policy for our most vulnerable? Wrong.
There was no data to support cloth masking children in school to begin with. That said, the only cluster randomized trial even remotely applicable to this shows that cloth masking did nothing to reduce positive symptomatic seroprevalence of SARS-CoV-2. Of course, said study didn’t even involve children, just adults. That means, even if there was a net-benefit from cloth masking adults, it wouldn’t have been applicable to children as they are a completely separate cohort and require a completely separate cluster randomized trial. Don’t get me started on school closures, pooled testing, and remote learning.
Key Point #3
As explained previously, the SARS-CoV-2 virus will be around for a very long time. But, the most shocking part of the above paragraph is the second to last sentence.
The section reads something like this. Returning to a new semblance of normal doesn’t mean acting like COVID doesn’t exit, “…instead, it means recognizing that the threat of COVID is not longer what is was even a year ago and therefore should not be treated as such - shutdowns, masks, and lockdowns were meant to save lives when there was not yet a vaccine that could do that”. Be that as it may, now that vaccines have “saved the day”, there’s no longer a need for draconian restrictions. Sadly, there’s one problem with that.
You see, COVID vaccines have been around for quite a while now. So according to the theory proposed in this memo, restrictions should have ended, yet they remain. The longer these intrusive public health policies drag on, the more Americans are stripped of their liberties for no rational reason. All and all, if the powers that be continue to act in this tyrannical way, they will surely do it again if the people don’t push back now.
Key Point # 4
Gaslighting at its finest. Public health officials and the Biden administration have already conditioned people to believe that this virus could be eradicated. The damage has been done, and no amount of recourse can change that- just look at Twitter and you’ll see.
If you remember, many medical professionals peddled the narrative that vaccination eradicated the poliovirus and therefore was also plausible in the case of SARS-CoV-2. Nothing could be further from the truth.
First and foremost, polio doesn’t have an animal reservoir and is a non-enveloped virus unlike SARS-CoV-2. Likening SARS-CoV-2 to poliovirus is similar to saying you have 2 cars, one brand new, and another with 100,000 miles. It is true to say because they are both automobiles they will function similarly. However, it is not true that over the next 2 years they will both function the same as one is clearly different from the other. Hence, 0 miles vs. 100,000 miles. Said another way, they may both be viruses, but they don’t act identically.
Key Point #5
I couldn’t disagree with this. However, I would take it to the next level and say public health officials and the Biden administration need to stop strategizing on “what if”. There’s been enough of that and it’s only scared the public and created undue harm.
There is no net-benefit to “what if” planning especially in medicine where most variables often lead to unpredictable results anyways. Imagine having strategized a plan for every single outcome of diabetes. After 40 years of planning (and it would take that long) you’ve neglected the other hundreds of diseases. What’s worse, after you’re done, the variables end up changing and therefore all the work you previously did becomes useless. Be that as it may, you can clearly see “what if” planning is counterproductive and harmful for the general populace. We need to deal with what currently exists, not fake, and usually superfluous scenarios.
The Rub
Considering all salient facts, Biden’s administration did not “win the war” against COVID, they merely perpetuated it. That by turning a blind eye to evidence, convincing the public that ZERO COVID was attainable, and by not recognizing that people were ready to move on from this more than a year ago. It’s been nearly 3 years since this pandemic began, aren’t you ready to move on already?
