An interesting number of events occurred today. First, Pfizer submitted an EUA application to give a 2nd booster dose to individuals 65+. Then, Moderna submitted their EUA application for approval of a 2nd booster for everyone 18+ the same day. Finally, by sundown, 25% of all reported CDC pediatric COVID deaths were eliminated due to a coding error by the agency.
To begin, let’s examine vaccine approvals. It is important to note what happened the last time a booster was approved. If you remember, within weeks, the additional jab was added to the definition of “fully vaccinated”. That is problematic for many reasons, however, one in particular stands out.
You see, the data (as you’ve been sent in previous emails) suggests waning protection from vaccination. That is because Omicron has over 50 mutations, and the code of current mRNA vaccines (from Pfizer & Moderna) help the body target an older version of the virus, not a current one. Well, when the body has been trained by the vaccine to identify a variant that no longer exists, it can’t find and neutralize the new one (omicron) effectively. As you could imagine, that explains the diminishing effectiveness of mRNA vaccines as evidenced by new studies. The previously mentioned is problematic because it creates an ethical problem. To explain, many people will be offered, (some coerced-healthcare workers), to take a now nearly ineffective vaccine against a variant which confers mostly mild symptoms, while still having to shoulder side effects. In other words, a simple risk/benefit analysis now reveals more risks and less benefits of said intervention yet it will still be offered and even forced on individuals.
Moving on, the CDC corrected COVID pediatric deaths because of a coding error. Essentially, they eliminated nearly 25% of all previously reported deaths from their data base because of inaccuracy. You should understand the implications of such an action. To be specific, it means COVID public health policy for kids over the past years was based on inaccurate evidence and speculation. That is to say, kids were unnecessarily exposed to the harms of interventions like masking social distancing, school closures, and mandatory vaccination without appropriate evidence.
Some wonder why there’s next to no trust left in public health. Clearly, it’s because of frequently occurring mistakes like this.
