While certain artificial sweeteners almost certainly are bad for us, sugar, especially High Fructose Corn Syrup and Fructose alone are very bad for us and that is the standard alternative to Artificial Sweeteners.
Choices like Stevia and Xylitol may be better but will get demonised by the same propaganda.
The correct answer is to not add refined sweeteners but that is a hard sell and does not cause disease so left unsaid.
