You know, transgenderism can bring about a few existential questions.
I was once at a meeting on this topic, and I raised one such question: is the soul male or female, or is it genderless or beyond gender? (I also think there can be a difference between sex and gender, but maybe that's a discussion for another time.)
I'm not against transgenderism--if it's a very wise, well-informed decision made at an adult age by the person who wants to transition.
I say that because they may be making a decision that's hard to reverse hormonally, and there may be reproductive consequences.
As for this video, I'm really not sure about it.
One of my big concerns about this is that parents may make a decision that their child may regret. There is such a thing as transgender regret.
For example, I'll never forget a video I watched recently. It was on the YouTube channel of a de-transitioning woman.
She regretted that she won't be able to have kids or lose her virginity.
Some children, when they're young, may go through fads where they pretend to be of another gender.
Heck, some teens may think that being transgender is "cool." However, not only can such an attitude undermine people who are genuinely transgender, those teens may not appreciate that transitioning is a monumental decision. It's not just a "cool" think to do, it's something that not only stays with you (possibly for life), but can actually define you.
I just think that this is a decision not to be taken lightly, and some light should be shed on the possibility of transgender regret.
