Good info, but report is from July 18, 2022? Not quite Breaking or "brand new"

Nice summary of a 2020 study that is still relevant today. I appreciate how you de-mystify science jargon so everyone can understand. James, would you also discuss the little-known role of eyes 👀in viral transmission and how face masks make people believe they are protected, (from all respiratory viruses) but with uncovered eyes, fingers fiddling with mask and touching face more often, masks forcing breath into the eyes, and viruses that easily enter the gaps and pores of masks - viral protection via face masks is a myth?

It's ridiculous that you have misunderstood the results from this study! That, or twisted the words.

It warns against the use of masks for /more/ than one day, especially for those who are of higher risk of infection. It does not state that mask wearing is dangerous in with correct use.

You claimed the bacteria and fungi are "dangerous," but most of them named are naturally found in the human microbiome and cause risks in more specific situations, like if they were to enter the bloodstream through a wound. It's a risk, but preventable with correct mask usage and keeping hands clean.

This paper even cites studies which show the effectiveness of masks in stopping the spread of airborne viruses, none of which claim that masks pose any other higher risk. One study even showed that doffing (airing out) your masks during the day stops the buildup of humidity. So all you have to do is get fresh air periodically, and either wash your re-usable masks, or bin your one-use masks after one use.

For someone who claims to be a health "expert," you might want to consider learning how to read scientific papers correctly. That, or you could conduct your own double-blind study to prove the results are wrong if you trule believed so.

Happy 2023, James!

"Bombshells" - other than sex bombshells - should be hot of the press; not 6 months ago.

I suggest you remove "bombshell" and insert "July 2022" to the headline.

No offence. However, words matter. We don't want to keep crying "bat".
